We pack some coolers, bringing sandwiches and drinks down to the beach. The sunset is coinciding with low tide and a full moon. It is a stunning evening.
I returned from two weeks in the South to find my deciduous friends have all donned their seasonal finery. The Dogwood and Azalea are flashy show offs, but the Japanese Maple knows her elegant, crimson frock will last the whole season. She is patient and dignified in her splendor. I respect that.
We ended the family vacation with dinner on the beach last night. Culminating with a dance party with a good Temptations tune to honor dad, who was with us without a doubt. Ain’t too Proud to Beg was always a favorite.
Fifteen and a finalist for two book awards for the cover of Dipped In it. Independent Press award and Da Vinci Eye award. So proud of you 👏
